First Haircut

We finally got around to getting Baylee's hair cut. Being that she was bald for so long, we really loved the bit she finally had. But it was really dry baby hair that just looked like a big raggedy mess, so it was time. We were going to take her to one of those cute kids shops, but after hearing their prices, it wasn't worth it for a cute shot in an airplane seat. So off to the gal who does my hair.

Both Baylee and the stylist did a wonderful job!

After all was said and done, she didn't come out with a whole new cut, but she finally looks a bit more, contained.

And the verdict is...

BOY!

We are very surprised, but very excited. Baylee on the other hand was hoping for a sister I think...

Easter

Happy Easter! Baylee had a blast this Easter getting to dye a few eggs. We didn't too many, nor got too crazy, but she had a blast coloring and designing the fun eggs.

Easter morning we set out a few eggs for her to find. She didn't get it at first, just wanted to sit down and eat the candy out of the eggs she found. Took a bit of helping her to realize how exciting it was to find all the eggs all over the house. She also was super excited finding her basket and had a blast looking through all her new books and scribbling on her new magnet board.

Spring activities

So I haven't posted much as 1, we've been super busy lately working extra trying to get finances in better order and save for maternity leave. Yes, most of you know already we are expecting another little one in Sept, we find out later today what we're having! And 2, it's been a crappy winter so we haven't gotten to go out and do much to actually talk about! But I think spring is slowly creeping upon us. It's still been pretty cold but we've finally had some days we can get outside and so something. So, lately we've been out to the children's museum with our mom's group, also visited the zoo with all the kiddos on one of the really gorgeous days.

Derek didn't have to work one day so we headed off to Northwest Trek, our "wildlife" park which showcases animals native to the Northwest, in their natural habitat. It's really pretty awesome and we've always gotten to see the moose, bison, elk, caribou and deer all up really close.
