SNOW!!

I am so excited to see our first snowfall of the year! Here in WA they don't get snow every year, but they said it was supposed to be the worst winter since 1950-something. Well, starting if off with snow in November is a sign of cold times to come! But I'm excited for it!
After a large snowfall Mon night, I let Baylee out to have some fun. She enjoyed stomping through it at first until she fell, and the tears came. Not a fan of the cold.
After some warm oatmeal breakfast I got her all bundled up and Aunt 'Nae and I took her out for some sledding.
She wasn't quite sure of what to think about it, but she gave us her cheese smile anyhow.
She did enjoy just playing in it and throwing it around
And eating it
When we got home Baylee went down for a nap and Derek and I played in our front yard and made a snowman.

Fall Adventures

I realized there were a few adventures this fall that I missed blogging about. Start off that in September we made it to the Western WA fair. We always made it a point to go every year, so we're keeping the tradition!
Baylee had a great time petting the goats, until it turned around. Right after this shot she freaked out and ran away crying!
Of course checking out the animals is only at the fair has to be followed up by good food. We did get some "healthy" corn in to counter-act the elephant ears and scones we had.
Derek and I also celebrated our 3rd anniversary. His parents watched Baylee overnight while we spent the evening in Seattle. We got a hotel for the night and enjoyed some good food at an awesome Irish Pub followed by entertainment at a dueling pianos bar. We made friends with some fun Canadian girls. I had a blast out there dancing with them and laughing the night away.
As a gift to Derek we got tickets to a Seahawks game.
It was a cold and rainy day (what a surprise) but we still had a great time. Derek's longtime friend came with us and brought his dad. His dad is a lifetime Seahawks fan and has only been to one other game, so it was a real treat for him too!
We spent a Sat morning and drove up to Snoqualmie falls to have breakfast with a friend of mine.
It was absolutely gorgeous and Baylee had a great time running around before sitting down for out brunch.
Kassie and I have been friends for 26 years. She moved up to WA in 5th grade, and we got back in contact about 4 years ago. We used to tell people we were twins when we were younger, and despite years of distance it still seems that way. She too is a nurse now and we have so many interests in common, it's almost scary. It's great to have her around again!

Halloween

The last couple years have been hectic and Halloween always seems to just fly by, but this year we had a great time with parties and Trick-or-treating.
The 30th I got called off work which turned to be a good thing as we were able to attend another kiddo's 1st birthday party.
The little dragon climbing over everyone is the birthday boy. James is the youngest and one of the littlest in our baby group, but man, is he full of personality!
It's tough getting a group of babies to sit still and smile, but this is what we got!
My little monkey, excited to have her space back to climb all over the couch!
On Halloween we decided to get together with Derek's family and take all the kids trick-or-treating around Grandma & Grandpa's neighborhood. Baylee wasn't too sure of what to do at the first house.
Her cousins did a great job of helping her out and showing her how to politely go to each door
And they waited so patiently for her to walk back down. Once Baylee got the hang of it, she wanted no help from anyone!
My little Miss Independant. She was hell-bent on carrying her own bag, walking to each house, she was NOT to be carried, put each piece of candy in the bag herself.
It was a short night, but we had a great time, and I look forward to the many more years to come, and lots more candy!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Baylee!!

I can't believe how quickly this year flew by...it's amazing to think my little girl went from

to

Our weekend started out picking Auntie Mia up from her trip in Portland to come celebrate with us. We had a good time walking around the outlet center in Centralia and having dinner with Sarah and her hubby Sam.
Telling us stories at dinner
and just being cute
The following day was her big birthday celebration!
Chatting with some of her guests

Uncle Parish even made the trip up to celebrate

What's a birthday without your bestie to help play with all your new toys!
She wasn't sure what to think about everyone singing to her...
But she had no problems eating the whole thing! Grandpa even snuck her seconds. Eh, it's your birthday, enjoy it kiddo!
We got to spend lots of time the following days with Malia, hanging out with her friends...
Playing in the sand and chatting away
Best friends forever! I am so thankful for this girl in my life! We've been friends since 4th grade, so exciting getting to have her in my little girls life now
Our first ferry ride into Seattle
We were even able to catch an Angels game. At the Mariners stadium. I may live in WA now, but I'll always be an Angels fan!
We had a great time during Malia's visit, Baylee tried to get her to stay, or go with her, still not sure. Overall, it was a wonderful birthday week for our little one year old!
How could I forget? Baylee took her first steps a week before her birthday, was taking 4-8 by her 1st birthday, and full blown walking a week later. Here's her stumbling through her birthday.

Our home

Welcome to our home...

Our master bath upstairs...I was instantly in love!
Our bedroom
I bet you can't guess who's room this is! Malia helped me with the awesome decor, and her blanket is a handmade gift from good friend Dodie back in Cali
